Hello fellow Epicureans and those interested in the teachings of Epicurus. Thank you to Cassius for setting up this board. I've been following New Epicurean and related blogs and sites for some time and am happy to see this forum set up outside of Facebook (as I deleted my Facebook account some 5 years ago.) I've self identified as an Epicurean for just under 10 years after a couple of years of vainly attempting to fit into the Stoic mold. I still enjoy studying all of the Hellenistic philosophies and my own version of Epicureanism may be a little more eclectic than some. Besides that, I moved to small-town Missouri a year and a half ago after living in Berkeley, CA for 20 years. I sought a slower more genuine, more intentional, life with less concrete in it; this area, that I once referred to as flyover country, provides that. I am looking forward to see how this board evolves, I know that it is off to a good start having studious and eloquent folks involved.
