It seems to me that the content of many of our Lucretius Today episodes over the last several years makes them worthy of exposure to a wider audience. I am therefore going to experiment with creating edited transcripts of them for posting as articles on Substack and various other places. The main purpose of this will be to make the full text available to search engines (and yes to the AI engines as well) where they are more likely to be picked up than solely by audio.
Our content provider provides basic AI generated transcripts, but they contain main errors and are barely usable. My first effort to overcome this is for Episode 190, where we started our series responding to CIcero's attacks on Epicurus. This first one I have edited entirely by hand, without any AI assistance, as a test to see if it's going to be feasible to do a large number of them this way. The first one is now posted on Substack here and also in the post linked below.
Comments and/or suggestions on the benefit of doing more of these are welcome.
