Thanks, Cassius my friend for your interest, I feel a little better.

I just caught what feels like a common cold, so nothing to worry about except that my voice might be affected on Sunday.

I wonder how serious this coronavirus event really is. These things always seem to get blown out of proportion, and then are eventually controlled, but this one does seem serious.

China is remarkably transparent about the whole thing, and after the poor handling of SARS, I think they're more prepared than ever before, that being said, there's a ton of misinformation going on with the virus. I doubt it will be anything catastrophic or will ever reach a global level. Safety precautions and travel restrictions must be taken and they are, but overall I think it will tide over throughout the next 4-5 months before "dying out".

Not sure either. So far, all suspected carriers here in the Philippines have been found negative. My wife just arrived from Cebu where a child having been suspected of carrying the virus has also just been found negative. Wew! Not sure in China.

The official numbers are way behind. According to a private chain of information, 90,000 people are hospitalized with related symptoms in Wuhan, and new hospitals are built there in record speed.
