  • You can view the up-to-date Kanban Board of current significant projects here. If you wish to make changes to the board use this link. The following graphic is for illustration only and does not reflect the most recent version.

    1. Urgent Fixes Needed

    1. At the moment we seem to be operationally stable. If you become aware of any problems please be sure to message Cassius or report them in the comments below.
    2. Improve search engine optimization.

    2. Short-Term To-Do

    1. Update the Search By Tag System to make it usable.
    2. Revise the "Welcome" Video.
    3. Revise the "Foundations" video.
    4. Work on a Curated List of Excerpts from Usener and Bailey
    5. Create a Substack or "Listmonk" email subscription service
    6. Revise the Pie Chart Presentation with more slides.
    7. Create a video of the "single page outline" summary.
    8. Create an index of Lucretius Today episodes with descriptions of what is in each episode.
    9. Collect the most important "articles" for addition to the Articles page.
    10. "Pretty" version of timeline based on work of Nate and Don. Link to mockup google doc.
    11. Convert the remainder of the Key Texts pages to Lexicon entries and use the "Reference" command (available only in Lexicon) to add Footnotes
    12. Prepare an article with Don's "bread and water" research and an article with an introduction to his work on the Meneoceus letter and the Nichomachean Ethics commentary.
    13. Prepare an article or thread or special audio presentation commenting on this article by Don Robertson "What Seneca Really Said About Epicurus"
    14. Set up an interview with Elli as to her experiences with Epicurean activism in Greece and thoughts for the future.
    15. Take the "Foundations" text, add in any major items from the Lucretius Table of Topics that are needed and not already present. and create a crossreference table where corresponding material can be found in Diogenes Laertiues (Letters, Doctrines, Etc) and other texts. First do so with footnotes, then explore tables and other formats. This can then be a master index of important foundations of the philosophy.
    16. Prepare a text for reading (such as we did with Torquatus) for the Letters of Epicurus, starting with Herodotus.
    17. Add explanatory notes to AFEWDAYSINATHENS.COM.
    18. Start work on comparison of views of Plato, Aristotle, and Epicurus on the respective roles of pleasure and virtue: Comparison of Plato On Pleasure, Aristotle On Pleasure, and Epicurus On Pleasure
    19. Finish the list of Epistemological statements: Primary Citations in Canonics (By Source)
    20. Develop new outreach audio-video programs.
    21. At Least Every Two Days - New Social Media Post With Graphic From the "Foundations Series Threads." In so doing, complete the reorganization of the Foundation Series Text.
    22. Transfer Links From the Old Link List into New Format Link Database And Add Don's Link and then increase visibility of this feature on home page.
    23. Implement A Roadmap Or "User Ranking by Texts Read' System
    24. Continue creating and publishing Lucretius Today Podcast til we finish the letter to Menoeceus, and then consider new formats.
    25. Continue Twentieth Skype Meetings.
    26. Complete Setup of Epicurus College Course Material Website.
    27. Complete Course Outline for the First Course - Introduction to Epicurean Philosophy.
    28. Finish adding the Principal Doctrines and Vatican Sayings to the Lexicon

    3. Long-Term To-Do

    1. Develop More Opportunities for Regular "Live" Interactions With Group Members (Zoom / Skype / Local).
    2. Work on Activities That We Should Encourage Members to Participate In:
      1. Journaling / Logbooking
      2. Personal Outlines
      3. Zoom Meetings
      4. Local Meetings
      5. Affinity or Local Subgroups
      6. Outreach Activities (Lucretius's poem / Diogenes of Oinoanda's wall, etc)
    3. Complete Work On the Course Material Section for the Epicurus College Website.
    4. Develop an Online Seminar-Convention (day or weekend long)
    5. Conduct a Live "Convention" or "Seminar" meeting in the USA.
    6. Continue Work On Charts Comparing Epicurus To Other Viewpoints.
    7. Plans for Lucretius Today Podcast After Completion Of Recording Of The Series:
      1. Improve the listings / descriptions of episodes at Spreaker.com. At a minimum, start the episode description with the part which says what we will cover in this episode. Also add the line numbers to the Brown edition if possible. Discuss those ideas here.
      2. Copy All Episodes to Archive.org as backup (this can be started whenever we have time).
      3. Convert Episodes to video format and post to Youtube and other video sharing sites.
    8. Redo opening page box on alternate contact methods. Formerly said:
      1. Our back-up location if the forum is offline is at Matrix.org, so please join our permanent backup instant messenger chat room at MATRIX.org. Current users of Matrix can find the group here: #Epicureanfriends:matrix.org. Users of Telegram can find us here. Cassius Amicus linktree is here.
    9. Problem with modern natural and necessary discussion is that it tends to overweight bodily vs mental pleasures, and this issue needs emphasis

Don't see any edit button on the text.

Thank you Don. At some point we can add editors as appropriate, but I wasn't sure if the default was "everyone can edit" or "no one can edit except the author." I guess the default is "no one."

Were you on your telephone Don? EricR tells me he sees the button, and I DONT see the button on my phone, and the software designer tells me that is a bug that he will correct.... I think the setting therefore is that everyone can SEE the ToDoList, but only those Level 3 and above can edit it.
