I read in one of the notes of the book of Mathew that the Nazarene name might mean the hated one, but it could also be because Jesus lived in Nazareth while he fled from the King of Herod.

I have been learning Greek (Modern) for a few months, but along side all the other books I am reading, it is going to take a while. I just started reading (seriously) about two years ago, and there is so much catching up to do, especially in the timeperiod we are in that has an abundance of material to learn.

I have a resolute passion for Philosophy and have read two Epicurean works: The Letter to Herodotus and A Very Short Introduction to Epicureanism. I greatly respect the idea that a well-thought-out, consistent, and healthy pleasure is the goal of life and that religion is not the supreme authority and judge that some people believe it to be.

I have been interested in Philosophy for over a year and have found it extremely helpful in my life. I read from several different schools and have a very eclectic interest in the topic, pulling from various schools of thought.
